Getting my smocking groove back...

I've been absent from this blog for so long!!!! I have been sewing, but not much. Now I'm determined to get my "groove" back. I'm working on a bishop for my niece. This fabric:

Smocked with this plate...except instead of roses, I plan to do bullion pansies. The plate is Linda's Rosebud Collar by Lou Anne Lamar.
